Drop type fuse cutouts are outdoor high voltage protection facilities. The fuse is installed at high voltage side oftransformeror branch line ofdistribution line to protect transformer or transmission line from short circuit and overload,to break and connect load current.Fuse cutout consist ofinsulation bracket and fuse tube,fixed contact is installed at both ends ofinsulation bracket, moving contact is installedat both ends offuse tube.Fuse tube onsist oftwo parts,arcing extinguish tube in inner side and epoxy glass tube outside. Tension load fusecutout increase the flexible auxiliary contact and arcing-extinguish shield to break or connect load current.Drop type fuse cutout is alow cost line protection, primarily used on remote overheadelectricaltransmissionlines.The visualdisplav ofthestatus of the fuse cutout quickly and accurately helps field inspectors to locate the faulty segment of the overhead transmission line. Uponciearing ofthe inefault and replacing thefuse ink.each ofthe phases can then be individualy switched back into operation using operatinpoles, which are available in desired lengths.
